Hi, I’m Meena, and I’m here to support you through life’s challenges and transitions with empathy, understanding, and practical tools for growth. As the founder of Core Centered Counselling, my mission is to help you reconnect with your inner strength, find clarity, and embrace meaningful change.

My own journey has shaped who I am as a counsellor. I come from a multi-cultural background, with my personal identity significantly shaped by exposure to and the internalisation of multiple cultural origins, beliefs, practices, languages, and values. I therefore have an open-minded and gentle approach to counselling, as well as a deep appreciation for diversity and resilience.

With a professional background spanning over 20 years as an academic librarian and my current qualification as a Certified Practising Counsellor of PACFA, I bring a wealth of experience in supporting individuals through change. My enriching work placement with counselling Support Coordinators in Turkish community, deepened my understanding of working with people facing complex life situations, and I’ve seen firsthand how tailored support can make a difference.

At Core Centered Counselling, I integrate evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and somatic healing techniques, alongside a person-centered approach that ensures your unique needs are always the focus.

Why Core Centered Counselling?

At Core Centered Counselling, I use trauma-informed talk therapy, mindfulness and somatic (body-based) practices like gentle movement and breathwork to support emotional regulation, reduce stress and reconnect you with your sense of meaning and purpose.

The name “Core Centered Counselling” reflects my belief that, healing and transformation begin at your core—emotionally, mentally, and physically. Thus, my counselling approach is centered around your core conditions.

My aim is to guide you in reconnecting with your strengths and building a sense of balance and calm so you can face life’s challenges with renewed confidence.
